Greetings from Mumbi

Greetings from Mumbi. That really big city in India which no one I know who lives in India seems to visit. When I asked around they would recount coming here to pick someone up and then leave, and that was about 2 to 3 years ago. So no help. The travel books are nice but the maps are too limited. So now it a sink or swim kind of visit. So far so good.

It is not all that strange that no one knows about Mumbi. I might be like some one form Phoenix, AZ not knowing anything about Los Angles, CA. I just assumed that they would know some one ( ie friend, relative) some connections. I guess this major city is outside of network of people I know.

Ironically there will be someone here I have some connection to when I return to Mumbi. They are going to be working here in the American diplomatic corps.

So things are good. Independent travel is becoming more enjoyable. So reader, do you like to travel in a group or on your own? Why is your choice best for you?

In a group! That way, when we get taken hostage, I have a greater chance of being among the survivors. :-/

Definitely on my own. The best way to discover foriegn cities is to get lost in them. I am okay with being lost, but when you're with someone, they start to freak out about being lost in an unknown city and then they start yelling at you that it was your fault, and while they make a scene, you're forced to take them out behind the dumpsters and strangle them to death. Then you have to hide the body, which in itself takes a few hours, an entire afternoon on Sundays, and when you're doen with that, you've wasted a perfectly good day you could have been lost in a city by yourself and maybe picked up a hot guy or something.

Meh. But, what if your GOAL is to find someone to strangle behind a dumpster? Then, it's a timesaver to start out with someone. And, a couple of hours to hid the body? n00b. ^_^ You can get that down to 30 minutes or less with a little practice.

BTW, TS, I tried to correct your spelling in this post, and I don't have access? You took my access away? I'm accessless? Access Denied?

Did I forget to say the magic word?
